Adam Walker coaching evening a great success

Adam Walker travelled down from Nottingham to deliver an inspirational evening to members of the new #openwaterclubs (Marlow, Henley, Oxford & Reading). Adam who is aiming to become the first British swimmer to complete the seven oceans challenge, has completed six of the swims and has the final one (the notorious North sea crossing from Scotland to Irelamd) later this year in September. The group was taken through some dryland coaching, followed by Adam demonstrating his technique, and then a chance to be coached by the man himself, swimming past the jetty at Queenford lakes

Openwater clubs spokesmen Jeremy Laming stated "we were delighted and very privileged to have Adam come down and see us for the evening. He is an incredibly passionate individual, both in terms of getting people swimming and marine conservation. The children and adults who attended loved the evening, so much so that the lake owner had to eventually chuck us out as the questions and chat went on long after normal closing time"

After the coaching Adam delivered an amazing presentation, talking about his 6 swim advertures so far. Stories of sharks, jellyfish, dolphins and gruelling 20 hour swims in cold suggested that this challenge is not for mere mortals.

Come back soon Adam
